Indigo, being a Maine Coon, has a very thick, bushy coat that she doesn’t allow me to brush.  So, I regularly took her to a groomer in Mississauga.  Up until the fall of 2014, when this groomer cut her badly in her right thigh.  It took ten weeks of medication and first aid and we didn’t think she would survive.  But Indigo and I perservered, and she’s healthy once again.

But, I certainly wasn’t taking her back to the groomer that had injured her.  I didn’t want to take her to  a big box chain to be groomed because of exposing her to other animals, and my veterinarian offered grooming services only occasionally.

Nine months went by, and dear Indigo became horribly matted.  I searched the web for a reputable groomer, and I found Christine’s website.  What impressed me was Christine’s insistence that the guardian stay for the entirety of the first grooming.  And then I saw her credentials and decided she was the groomer for me!!

We had our first session in August and Christine worked so hard on Indie – taking such care with her, giving her frequent breaks, and at times, clipping away hair by hair to ensure Indigo’s comfort.  We went for comfort for the cat that day, style would come later!!

 As I left that day, I thanked Christine profusely for all her hard work and patience – and said I felt like a horrible mother for letting Indie get into that state.  She assured me she understood our circumstance and then said that now, we put the past (and any guilt I may have had) away, and we move forward.

 And we have!  Indigo came home a happy girl!  She’s comfortable now, she’s very affectionate, and Christine was absolutely right – our pets feel our energy and understand what’s happening within our own hearts and souls – maybe before we do.   They love us unconditionally – and Christine reminded me of that too.

 I have recommended Christine to many people over the three months since our first visit – she’s just a wonderful person with animals – including the two legged kind!  We’ve had a second visit and Indie only needed a good brushing and her nails clipped – and she came home again a happy girl!  Christine works magic!
