I’m proud to be able to stay open and serve the pets in our community!
My goal remains the same: to give your pet the best possible experience on the grooming table. And needless to say, the health and safety of you and your pets is the most important thing of all.
Can your pet get COVID-19?
To date, there is no evidence to say that dogs and cats can contract COVID-19. COVID-19 is a different strain of coronavirus causing upper respiratory illness in people. The strain of coronavirus that affects dogs and cats show mild diarrhea signs and those strains are NOT the same as COVID-19. Having said that though, the news on COVID-19 is changing day by day.
That’s why I’ve implemented the following procedures to help better protect you and your pets during this time:
When you show up for your appointment, just text or call me to let me know you’re outside.
I’ll come outside to meet you, practicing physical distancing. You’ll let your dog out of the car, and I’ll put on my own slip lead (so I don’t touch your pet’s collar or leash). Then you can remove your collar and leash.
Then I’ll bring your pet into the house and bathe them immediately.
I disinfect all surfaces and tools after each groom with PREvail, a professional grade animal disinfectant used in veterinary hospitals (which I’ve always done).
Once your pet is ready to be picked up, we’ll follow the same process in reverse.
During this time, e-transfer payments are preferred.
Thank you for your understanding of these new procedures. Please call me if you have any questions or concerns. I’ll do whatever I can to help!
